Brazil’s adoption of instant payments has been nothing short of extraordinary since the launch of Pix, an instant payments system owned and regulated by the nation’s central bank Banco Central do Brasil (BCB), in November 2022. Over 158 million users transacted via Pix in July 2024, showcasing the strong appetite for instant, user-friendly payment solutions in the country.
